individual psychotherapy
One-on-one therapy can be beneficial for many reasons and used in a variety of ways; tailored for each client. One of the the most important parts of therapy is the therapeutic relationship; at CCG we find it is often a powerful vehicle for change. We believe much of the way we behave in our present is based on past relationship experiences. Building insight and awareness through our work together can inspire lasting change.
couples therapy
When both individuals in a relationship decide to enter into treatment it can be for a variety of reasons, such as pre-marital/co-habitation counseling, distress within the relationship, communication issues, sexual issues, and rupture and repair work. Whatever the issues may be, our clinicians work to be an unbiased external resource for couples to feel heard and understood in a safe and secure environment.
family therapy
When a family decides to enter treatment, it is often to resolve conflict, address communication issues, adjust dynamics and overall improve functioning. Whatever the issues may be, our clinicians work to be a trusted external resource for the family to use in navigating the work of creating lasting changes in relationship dynamics.
Consultation & training
We have extensive clinical training in a variety of specialties. We are available to provide individual consultation or supervision, group consultation, or trainings on (but not limited to) LGBTQ concerns, trauma, anxiety/OCD and children’s issues.
animal assisted therapy
Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a goal-oriented, planned, structured therapeutic intervention centered around the human-animal bond. Therapy animals can have a calming effect on clients and provide a safe space for those who feel anxious about attending therapy sessions. Our furry team can help clients restore feelings of hope, self-worth, and assist in enacting self-soothing and distress tolerance skills.
LGBTQI
Our psychotherapists have been specifically trained to work with the LGBTQ community, which offers our patients knowledgeable, affirming and safe treatment. Coping with discrimination and oppression, coming out to one’s family, and sorting out an “authentic” sense of self in the face of social expectations and pressures can lead to higher levels of depression, anxiety, substance use, and other mental health concerns for LGBTQ community, which is why we believe it's important so have specialized training that can speak to these unique challenges.
